A little description about this item

Trip to Switzerland

My visit to Switzerland was very enjoyable. On my first night, not long after arriving I had a dinner date with my daughter. This was the first time that we had been out together on our own since she found me after 25 years of separation. Previously, as she was a mum, bringing up two children, they were always with us.

On the Saturday we were advised by someone Claire knew to go to Mount Säntis, which we did. I am very glad we went and the photography was excellent as can be seen fom the selection of photographs above.

Finally, on the Sunday afternoon we sat in the sun at a bar near where she lives and chatted. We were joined by Beni, a very good friend of Claire’s and occasionally by my grandchildren.

I flew back to the UK on the Monday and managed to get home only one hour late.A lot of rail journies were cancelled due to the heat. There had been no such problems in Switzerland, but having looked into this I now know that railway lines are designed for use between temperature bands, and no one when the lines in the UK were being designed expected the temperature to exceed 35 degrees.
